In continuing the celebration of the company\u2019s 30th\u00a0Anniversary, Manley Laboratories is proud to announce a limited run of their classic Reference Cardioid<\/a> tube microphone in a custom pearlescent white finish with red accents, dubbed the \u201cReference Cardioid XXX Anniversary Limited Edition.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the company, the Reference Cardioid is \u201cthe world\u2019s most popular modern tube vocal mic, heard everywhere from Don LaFontaine\u2019s famous movie trailers to classic singers like Etta James to chart-topping hits from artists like Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Panic! at the Disco and Avril Lavigne\u201d since its introduction in 1990.<\/p>\n

This XXX Anniversary Edition Reference Cardioid microphone production will feature the MANLEY POWER\u00ae\u00a0Switch-Mode Power Supply, currently used in the Manley Reference Silver Microphone. Based on the same technologies already proven in the Manley CORE\u00ae, FORCE\u00ae, ELOP\u00ae+, and Nu Mu processors, this new PSU is \u201cempirically quieter\u201d than the microphone\u2019s original linear PSU. According to Manley Labs, \u201cSonically, we hear faster highs, generally more clarity, and \u2018blacker blacks\u2019 in the silence.\u201d The new power supply is also universal, allowing it to work anywhere in the world without a voltage changeover switch or power transformer rewiring.<\/p>\n
