Big and punchy sound with a smooth <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">top end as heard on countless hit recordings. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">The design employs a 312 preamplifier circuit with a discrete <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">2520 type operational amplifier and transformers on both inputs <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">and outputs. High headroom and low distortion are <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">characteristics of this design. <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">Only high-quality components with <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">tight tolerances are used throughout. Also due to careful <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">placement of inside components, very low crosstalk between <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">channels is achieved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">Comes with gold Neutrik XLR input and output connectors and <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">gold discrete socketed opamps for ease of service or custom <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">swapping for different opamps. A separate power supply helps <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">achieve very low noise operation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">All of the channels have two transformer isolated outputs per <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">channel at the back and a HI Z input on the front panel for <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">instruments and keyboards. All of these features make the TAF <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">4312i a versatile unit for professional studio or live use. <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">Can be ordered without TAF 312 internal boards. This is a good <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">solution for those who have the luxury of having original vintage <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">312 boards and want to make a full preamplifier out of them. You <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">have to open the unit and plug those boards to the internal 15 <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">pin connector and they will be ready to work with all of the <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl Normal_text xr_s18\">features.
